Multiple-Entry Visas: Single vs Multiple
The difference between single and multiple entry visas.
1The difference
A single-entry visa allows one entry and expires on exit. A multiple-entry visa allows repeated trips within validity, each capped by the stay duration. Entry '01' = single, 'MULT' = multiple.
2Which countries issue multiple
US B1/B2 (up to 10 years), Canada (usually 10 years), UK (2/5/10 years), Australia 600 (usually 3 years), Japan 3/5-year, Singapore 5-year, New Zealand.
3The Schengen 90/180 rule
Schengen stays are capped at 90 days in any rolling 180-day window. Count backward 180 days from each entry and add up all stays.
