Extra documents needed when travelling with children.

Birth certificate, household register, parental consent, and parents' passport/visa copies. Schengen and the US are stricter and usually require notarized proof of relationship.

A notarized consent letter from the absent parent is required, stating the child's details, dates, destination and accompanying person.

Visa-free SE Asia and the Middle East (Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, UAE, Maldives) are easiest for families — no complex child visa paperwork.
